Interconnect Partner Meeting
One day partner meeting on project progress took place in Rostock.
Interconnect project partners met for the last time before the end of 2019 to discuss the progress within the project on the 5th December 2019.
Key note speech on cross-border transport was delivered by Mr Carsten Schürmann from TCP International, followed by the presentation of Activity 5.3 – „Public transport inside and outside the Baltic Sea area” report which was delivered by Mr Brian Gardner from the Realise company. Later that day, Interconnect Main output 1 and 2 have been discussed, as well as request for extension of the project for additional 6 months.
On Friday, 6th December, some of the Interconnect partners visited a train station reconstruction site in Rostock-Warnemünde. This train station has seen increasing numbers of passenger in the recent years, therefore a decision for capacity enlargement has been taken by Deutsche Bahn. Also, Rostock-Warnemünde train station is the first in Germany to be equipped with fully digital control system.
